    Rachel Mattis, LPC

    Hi! My name is Rachel Mattis and I am so glad that you have taken this courageous step. I enjoy working with adolescents and adults working through difficult life moments and transitions. I specialize in issues pertaining to perfectionism, people-pleasing, anxiety, and high-sensitivity, particularly as these issues may be rooted in obvious or complex childhood trauma.     I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Education from the University of Florida (Go Gators!), and my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Central Florida. I gained my clinical experience in a variety of clinical settings, including the community mental health clinic on campus during my graduate studies, adolescent substance abuse residential treatment, school-based individual and group counseling services for high-school students, inpatient psychiatric hospitalization, and adolescent mental health residential treatment before transitioning to the private practice setting.
